Arthur Bell, Certified Public Accountants, congratulates nine professionals in the audit, tax and information technology (IT) departments on their well-deserved promotions.
Jeffrey Megaro, CPA: Jeff was recently promoted to audit director and is also involved with the firm’s Investor Representative practice. Jeff joined Arthur Bell in 2001 and has ten years of experience. He is actively involved in the firm’s educational efforts through senior training and mentoring, and he was most recently a speaker on “fair value” at Arthur Bell’s 7th Annual Alternative Investment Industry Update. A licensed CPA in Delaware, Jeff received his B.S. in Accounting from Binghamton University. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Mike Derbin: Mike has been with the firm for over three years and was recently promoted to audit senior. He earned his B.S. in Accounting from Towson University and is currently working toward his CPA license.
Dan Weimer: Dan has been with the firm for over three years and was recently promoted to audit senior. He earned his B.S. in Finance from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Baltimore. He is currently working toward his CPA license.
Joshua Morgenstern, CPA: Josh has been with the firm’s individual tax group for six years and was recently promoted to tax director. He has over ten years of tax experience with a focus on high net worth individuals, trusts, private foundations, public charities, and estate planning. Josh is a licensed CPA in Maryland and received his B.S. in Accounting with honors from Touro College in New York. He is an associate member of the Tax Division Exempt Organizations Tax Technical Resource Panel for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants and the Baltimore Estate Planning Council.
Heather Atkinson: Heather was recently promoted to tax senior. She has been with the firm’s individual tax group for over three years and is actively involved in the firm’s Green Committee. She graduated from the University of Baltimore with a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.
David Gonano: David was recently promoted to tax senior. He joined the firm in June 2007 as part of the alternative investment fund tax group. David earned his B.S. in Accounting from Salisbury University and his MBA with a concentration in Finance from Loyola College. He is currently working toward his CPA license.
Marc Lewin: Marc has been promoted to senior tax advisor. He joined Arthur Bell in December 2009 to help resolve complex tax compliance matters and provide tax planning assistance. He received his J.D. from The John Marshall Law School and his LL.M., Taxation from the Georgetown University Law Center. Marc is admitted to practice law in the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Brandon Miller: Brandon was recently promoted to tax senior. He has been with the firm’s alternative investment funds tax group for over three years. He graduated summa cum laude from Shippensburg University with a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.
Ben Johnson: Ben joined the firm almost four years ago as the IT staff programmer and was recently promoted to applications developer. He earned his computer science degree from the University of Maryland University College in 2006, although he has experimented with technology for practically his entire life.
