Thom is responsible for providing accounting, consulting and auditing services to a wide variety of entities including commodity pools, hedge funds, commodity trading advisors, investment advisers, and other operating entities. Thom has presented over 20 seminars in-house as well as for state and national organizations on a variety of accounting, auditing and regulatory matters.
Thom joined Arthur Bell in November 2006. Prior to joining the firm, Thom had over 10 years of public accounting experience through working at small and mid-size accounting firms in Maryland. In addition, Thom worked as a CFO for 2 years at a group of companies, which included an insurance agency, two captive insurance companies and a risk retention group.
Thom holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Maryland-Baltimore County and a Master of Science in Business from the University of Baltimore. Thom is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Maryland, and he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA).
